Sheesh...

(1) "The cornerback and offensive tackle will each pay a $1,000 fine and perform 48 hours of community service, said attorneys for both players. They also had 30-day jail sentences stayed for a year."

That's probably a drop in the bucket financially. 48 hrs...they probably have already taken care of that w/ the United Way. Did they really stay 30 days in jail?

(2) "permanently removed from their records if they remain law-abiding over the next year"

I still have a speeding ticket on my record from my junior year in high school...it's the only time I've ever been pulled over. If this was really such a big deal it seems ridiculous that it would be erased from their record. So like in 10 years (or less) when they are arrested again the police will look them in they eye and say..."well, this has never happened before so you can go free...have a nice day."

(3) "We are pleased to have this case finally resolved," I bet they are.

You know I think this is one of the many reasons people in our country cannot get the biblical concept of who God is in His justice. Sometimes "justice" is not harsh, but on judgment day...oh boy...it will be terrible and swift.

Okay that's long. Later:)

Noah
