I am definitely not a fan of Coach K - you could say I bleed Carolina blue. But he is a great coach, and this article is full of crap. Yeah, in hindsight, Bowen probably would have been a better pick than Brad Miller. But the blame for the loss lays clearly on the shoulders of the players. They are NBA players, not used to playing zone. They needed to step up and defend a play that's used all around the NBA. They weren't only killed by the pick and roll, but by giving up open looks from 3 point range and not knowing how to attack Greece's sagging man-to-man defense. Bruce Bowen most likely would not have changed the outcome.
