I stopped reading right after Bob Ryan's article. Why is it that pompous sportswriters always make statements like "I'm not trying to judge him." only to follow that up with "he is 100 percent in the wrong"?
And as for Ryan's question, "if he were the 44th man on the team, would he be here?" He would absolutely be here, whether that's right (consider it "work release") or wrong (consider it unfair treatment of any professional athlete - has Chris Henry served any time during the season?).
Obviously Tank has issues and has made poor choices. But in his defense, the guns in question are registered in his home state of Arizona. (Not that that makes it smart to mix guns & kids.)
